What’s On
There are lots of ways young ghosts and ghouls can get involved with the free October Half Term activities at The Esplanade Hotel in Newquay. Each day of the school holiday there is something planned in the hotel to entertain little ones. Join us for biscuit decorating, frightful arts & crafts, silent discos, and creepy caricatures with Cassie.

Don’t forget to bring your fancy dress ready for the big Halloween Party on the Thursday evening of your October half term stay! Expect music, dancing, spooky storytelling, and some creepy activities the whole family can take part in. Tickets are bookable at reception.

As well as organised activities families can make their way down to the hotel’s cinema for some fun film screenings of much-loved animated tales. Catch classics like Shrek, The Lion King and Toy Story or more recent releases like Encanto, Soul and Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile.

Clad for the whole clan The Esplanade Hotel has something to entertain all ages. From the indoor pool and sauna, a cinema, fantastic indoor soft play, an outside play area and even the Quiksilver Surf School just next door – every personality (and weather pattern) is catered for.

Fuel up for more play in the hotel’s Cove Restaurant, a family friendly dining destination with a side of sea views. Décor is relaxing and inspired by the coast, perfect to kick back and watch the waves roll in with a drink in hand. The menu has something for everyone, and we think all our guests will enjoy autumn storm watching from the dining table. When you’re ready for a nightcap retire to the cosy Elements Cocktail Bar and chat by the fireside.

Spooky Newquay
Book a weekend at The Esplanade Hotel in Newquay during the Halloween weekend and watch the town come (back) to life. The annual Spooky Newquay zombie crawl sees lots of local children don their spookiest outfits, get the face paint out and practice their best zombie walks – ghastly faces and all. Perfect for little ones and grown-ups the Halloween celebration is a fun way to see the seaside town. The 2024 Newquay Zombie Crawl takes place on Saturday 26th October, see you there if you’re brave enough!
