After a winter stay at The Esplanade Hotel, we caught up with Amelia - @littlelifeofgrayson - to find out more about their cosy getaway and memorable moments.

Amelia, hi! We hope you enjoyed your stay with us. Tell us, what was the highlight?

Truthfully, I struggle to decide which moment was my favourite, however it has to be arrival. The warm welcome and the look on my sons face when he was able to choose a Build-My-Bear goody bag. It was absolutely priceless and we got to build it together when we got to our room with the most gorgeous sea view of a purples and pink sunset. It was just incredible. It really was special.

Favourite family moment at The Esplanade Hotel?

My favourite family moment was the day after arrival when we spent time using the facilities - cinema room, pool & restaurant. We had non-stop ear to ear smiles the whole day, everyone was so kind and caring and lovely towards our son, Grayson. We met some wonderful guests at dinner who really took to our son too! I just knew we chose the right place for a family break - it really was magical and we absolutely will be back in 2025.

What is it about Newquay that makes it so special?

It has to be the beaches and scenery for me, followed swiftly by the sense of community. The atmosphere is just so beautiful, looked after and fresh! Every time we have visited everyone is so friendly and kind, and it really does make it our go to happy place when it comes to getaways.

What's your perfect family day out?

It has to be a trip down to the beach! Bucket and spade to hand, a sunshade and fluffy towels ready to pitch up for the day. All followed by a trip to the amusements, ice cream shop & chippy! I love being as close to the sea as possible, where we can take a float into the water with our son and just splash all day! Equally, we love a venture around the town, finding great bakeries and of course a souvenir shop to pick out a fridge magnet or stick of rock for the grandparents. As long as I can have at least one day exploring the town, I'm happy.

Surfing or swimming?

Truthfully, I have never tried surfing. I am a major swimming lover though, always have been! I'd love to hit the waves down at Newquay on our next trip though, maybe a local could teach me a thing or two!

Sweet or savoury?

I am a big 'crisp and dip' kind of girl. If we had to make the decision between fish and chips or ice cream down on the coast, the chippy would win every time!

Exploring the town or beach day?

I really do love a bit of both and find it so difficult to choose between the two. We love playing on the beach as a family, soaking up the rays and making memories.

What's your guilty pleasure in life?

Carrying a bar of galaxy chocolate around with me wherever I go (I'm serious!) for when that random sweet tooth craving hits.. it's a terrible habit!

Tell us how you got into content creating..

If I'm honest it started with a passion for dressing my son. Whether it be high street fashion or small business tailor made items of clothing, I loved putting his outfits together and sharing pictures of him styled. I slowly realised that babies grow up and become.. not so cooperative anymore! I wanted to do more and be more of myself rather than just sharing my son on my social platforms. I used to watch content creators for years and thought, but what if I did start? Worrying what people would think or say. Now I have never looked back and have experienced some incredible adventures and worked with some huge brands across the country. All I can say is, thank god toddlers grow up and become difficult to photograph!
