Having a little more time on your hands at the moment and need a hand keeping the little ones entertained?

Take a look at our "boredom busters" ideas for the kids' to help make the time in lock-down a little more pleasurable...

1. Brainteasers - download and print our surf-inspired game here.
2. Treasure hunt - hide a favourite toy and set clues for a trail around the house. If it's sunny, lead them out into outside space enabling them to also get some fresh air.
3. Memory game - set up some household objects on a tray, let them look at and remember what's on the tray for 1 minute, put a tea towel over the tray so the items aren't visible, give them 1 minutes to write down as many of the items that they can remember then pull off the tea towel and reveal any forgotten objects.
4. Hide and seek - need we say more...
5. Make and decorate - place 150g chocolate, 100g butter and 4tbsp syrup in a heatproof bowl and melt until smooth, mix into a bowl of 100g rice pops, place mini cake cases onto a tray and then spoon mixture evenly into the cases before placing in the fridge for approx. 1hr to set. Once cooled and set, decorate with favourite topping, then simply enjoy...
6. Movie night - put on their favourite film, make some popcorn and dim the lights to make it feel just like the cinema!
7. Organised fun - head to the area of toys and arts & crafts and set a challenge for them to sort out and tidy their go-to stations for fun. Set a time limit, even tempt with a prize to ensure a neat and tidy space for fun!
8. Start a journal - keep in check what each day brings whilst in this uncertain time. Jot down anything from the day that can then be looked back on and reminisce when this is all over...
