Stress Awareness Month; how to regain balance
1st April marks the start of Stress Awareness Month to raise awareness of the causes and cures for identifying, managing and living with stress.
The past year has undoubtedly placed a lot of extra stress and pressure on people from juggling working from the dining table whilst trying to home school; it’s important to stay healthy so we are encouraging all to take part in The 30 Day Challenge to increase positivity, encourage kindness and regain balance.
With our hotel reopening from 17th May, we are encouraging people to use this month to plan ahead with a focus on reducing stress and encouraging wellness throughout 2021.
Quality Time We appreciate that the last year has been difficult due to a reduction in social time with family and friends, however as we head into the Summer and the easing of restrictions it’s important to have things planned to look forward to. Whether it’s a family getaway to the Cornish coast with plenty of activities or a group surf trip; having something planned gives focus to a positive and exciting year ahead. Calming Aromas Your home should be a place for relaxation and tranquillity, away from the stresses of work. Light a candle, open the oil diffusers and play some soothing music. Exercise
With the reopening of outdoor sport, getting back into a routine of fitness as part of your weekly activities will be a much-welcomed return for many. Exercise also lowers your body’s stress hormones such as cortisol, and instead releases chemicals that make you feel more positive and calm.
