Blow the cobwebs away with a walk on the South West Coast Path, found just steps from the front door of The Esplanade. Set off along the trails and take in sandy beaches, stunning vistas and dramatic cliffs. Everchanging skies and stormy seas make for atmospheric beach walks, or you might be lucky and be graced with blue skies and sunshine. Keep your eyes open for seals and sea birds, and if you decide to drive out a little further for a walk, parking is often far easier.

Many beaches around Newquay allow dogs in the Autumn and Winter, making it a perfect time to bring your furry friend. We offer dog-friendly rooms complete with dog bed and dog bowl for your pup to stay in comfort.

For a truly enchanting evening, visit the Heligan Night Garden, a glowing wonderland of illuminations. At the Eden Project, festive cheer fills the air with ice skating, twinkling biomes, and the chance to meet Father Christmas. Or hop aboard a festive train at Lappa Valley for a scenic ride through the Cornish countryside and a visit to Father Christmas in his grotto.
