Staying at The Esplanade? Don’t miss our fun-filled family weekend activities this December

From 6th to 21st December, our festive weekend schedule at The Esplanade Hotel in Newquay is packed with activities that make family time extra special.

Crafts and dancing

On Saturdays, little ones can let their creativity shine with arts and crafts from 1.30-2.30pm. Then it’s time to boogie at 3pm with a silent disco, complete with glitter tattoos to sparkle while they dance. When the energy winds down, the Book Nook is open for chill-out board games from 5pm until late.

On Sundays, pick up your Christmas Scavenger Hunt from reception at 9.30am and set off on an adventure. At 11.30am, the brain games and colouring session gives kids a chance to rest, focus, and learn something new.

Throughout the weekend we’ll also be showing complimentary screenings of family films in our in-house cinema for guests of all ages to enjoy. With showings at 10am, 1pm, 3.30pm and 8pm.

Coats off, swim goggles on

Enjoy a bracing walk along Fistral Beach, exploring rock pools and watching waves crash in, then head back for a warming dip in our indoor heated swimming pool – perfect for a leisurely swim. Little ones even have their very own splash pool.

Access to the pool area is available to all guests, free of charge, from 8am - 9pm daily and open for non-residents* from 8am-8pm.

Playtime, inside and out

Kids can explore our indoor soft play area, conveniently located next to the Cove Restaurant, while grown-ups relax with a coffee and beach views. Outside, the adventure continues in our pirate ship-inspired playground, where imaginations can run wild.
