Weekends at The Esplanade Hotel are anything but ordinary.

At The Esplanade in Newquay, weekends are for fitting in as much fun as possible. With sweeping views over Fistral Beach and a laid-back, family-first vibe, we’ve created a space where kids can play freely, and grown-ups can truly unwind.

Create, learn, dance, repeat

Outside of school holidays, our weekend entertainment schedule keeps the energy high.

On Saturdays, kids can get involved with tasty biscuit decorating and arts & crafts, followed by dancing and tunes with a silent disco. When its time to wind down, there’s a selection of board games to choose from in the Book Nook.

On Sundays, mini explorers can head out on a seaside scavenger hunt, test their skills with brain games and get creative with colouring.

A favourite feature among little guests is our cinema, where we’ll be hosting movie marathons on weekends. With comfy seating for 30 and several showings a day, it’s the perfect spot to settle with some popcorn and enjoy family classics.

Playtime with a view

Climb aboard the outdoor pirate ship adventure playground or check out the indoor soft play area just off the Cove Restaurant – an ideal spot for adults to relax with a coffee and a view while the kids let off some steam.

For adventures further afield, head down to Fistral Beach for a family walk along the Cornish coast path. Afterwards, warm up with a dip in our indoor pool and hot tub. There’s even a splash pool for little ones.
